With the generous support from the Government of Japan, UNFPA is supporting the Government of Mozambique to strengthen and scale up comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response services for more than 160,000 women and girls (both internally displaced and in host communities) in Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Niassa provinces.
GBV AoR (Area of Responsibility) Advocacy Note for Cabo Delgado
Over 730,000 people are in need of humanitarian assistance in Cabo Delgado as a result of displacement due to attacks by non-state armed armed groups (NSAG) on rural communities. The GBV Area of Responsibility in Cabo Delgado continues to advocate for protection of civilians from risks of gender based violence.
