As of 19 December 2024, Tropical Cyclone Chido has caused significant devastation in northern Mozambique, particularly in Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces. 

UNFPA Mozambique is actively responding by ensuring the continuity of sexual and reproductive health services and addressing heightened risks of gender-based violence among women and girls in the affected areas.
