Cyclone Idai destroyed almost everything in its path, causing devastating floods, damaging or destroying more than 90 health facilities, and affecting an estimated 1.85 million people across central Mozambique.

Led by the Government of Mozambique, the project ‘Support for Women and Girls Affected by Tropical Cyclone Idai in Mozambique’ funded by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), aims to strengthen obstetric and newborn care for more than 460,000 Cyclone-affected women and girls in Sofala Province, Mozambique.
