In this center, the Provincial Directorate of Gender, Children, and Social Action with technical assistance from the Wiwanana Foundation and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Mozambique, has been supporting a group of women and young girls to promote gender-based violence (GBV) and cultural and awareness sessions including income generation and life skills activities.
Issues related to living in a Transit Center for more than 6 months, lack of food, lack of access to schools and hospitals, and land for farming have been reported as major concerns.
