On 16 May, the province of Cabo Delgado, in Mozambique, started a cholera vaccination campaign.
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) works to ensure that every pregnancy is safe and guides pregnant women and girls to take the vaccine against cholera, a potentially fatal disease.
For UNFPA, every mother has the right to a safe pregnancy, even in emergencies. By May 20, Pemba, Metuge and Mecufi health centers will finalize vaccinating the population.
