Mr. Cheikh Fall

Mr. Cheikh Fall brings over three decades of experience in international development and public health, with notable roles at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). He arrived at UNFPA Mozambique in July 2024.

Mr. Cheikh Fall brings over three decades of experience in international development and public health, with notable roles at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). He arrived at UNFPA Mozambique in July 2024.

Mr. Fall has extensive leadership experience across UNFPA. From 2015 to 2023, Mr Fall made significant contributions as a UNFPA Representative in Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, and Mauritania.  Previously, he served as the UNFPA Senegal Assistant Representative, UNFPA Deputy Representative in Rwanda, and later as Deputy Representative in Haiti. 

From 1992 to 1997, Mr Fall served as a Junior Program Officer in Guinea Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands, later becoming a National Program Officer in Senegal. He then worked as a Management Officer in the UNFPA Country Support Team, covering 17 countries in West and Central Africa until 2000. His career expanded when he became the Country Representative and BCC expert for the Johns Hopkins University/Center for Communication Programs in Senegal, working on the Maternal Health and Family Planning Project funded by USAID. 

Mr. Fall holds a Master's in Population Development and Reproductive Health from Dakar University, an MBA in Management of Health Services from CESAG, and several certificates in primary health care and management from Columbia University and Texas Technical University.
