Ms. Andrea M. Wojnar

Ms. Wojnar has served as UNFPA Mozambique Representative since October 2017. Previously, Ms. Wojnar was the UNFPA Representative in Senegal/Country Director for The Gambia.

Ms. Wojnar has served as UNFPA Mozambique Representative since October 2017. Previously, Ms. Wojnar was the UNFPA Representative in Senegal/Country Director for The Gambia. As the United States Peace Corps Country Director, she led the post-conflict re-establishment of the Nepal programme and grew Peace Corps Tanzania to be one of the agency’s largest health and education programmes on the African continent.

From 1986 to 2005, Ms. Wojnar served in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as Sahel Region Director covering 7 countries, East Africa Deputy Director covering 14 countries, and DR Congo Programme Coordinator, in addition to working at IFRC and the American Red Cross headquarters.

Ms. Wojnar holds Master of Arts Degrees in Management (McGill University) and African Social Change & Development/Economics (Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies), a Diploma in International Management (INSEAD) and a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Letters (Wesleyan University, USA).
