Ms. Bérangère Boëll

Ms. Bérangère Boëll began serving as Mozambique Country Office Representative as of January 2022.
 
Bérangère, a national of France, brings 21 years of experience in development and humanitarian settings across the Middle East, Africa, Central America, and the Caribbean.
 
She previously served in UNFPA as Representative for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Representative for Libya, Country Director for Morocco, and Regional Advisor in Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization for East and Southern Africa. Moreover, she served for eight years in UNRWA where she held multiple positions in external relations, programme coordination, and project management in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
 
Prior to joining the UN in 2005, Bérangère started her career working in a Spanish NGO (ACPP) as a programme coordinator for the Dominican Republic and Haiti and later as Head of Office in Tunisia.
 
Bérangère is a strong advocate of the 2030 and ICPD Agendas, the protection and promotion of human rights, and LNOB. In 2020 she passed the UN Resident Coordinator assessment and served several times as RC/HC and DO while posted in Libya.
 
Fluent in English, Spanish, and French and with knowledge of Portuguese and Arabic, Ms. Boëll holds a Master’s Degree in International Cooperation from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from the University of Paris VIII, and an under Degree in foreign languages applied to Economics and Law from La Sorbonne University.
